Question 1

What is EVE (Eco Village Enterprise)?

Accepted Answer

EVE is an offline-first operating system and community platform designed for eco-villages, intentional communities, and cohousing groups. It connects resident daily life (Community Hub) with operational stewardship (EVE Admin), ambient resource intelligence (Nexus Intelligence), and values-based matching (Ecove Matcher).

Question 2

Does EVE work offline and in off-grid environments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Under the Sovereign Root and Hybrid Bridge configurations, EVE operates on local hardware within the village over local networks. If the regional power grid or external internet fails, communities continue coordinating meals, tasks, governance agreements, and local sensor telemetry uninterrupted.

Question 3

Why was the black panther chosen as EVE's companion guardian?

Accepted Answer

The panther is EVE’s guardian—a symbol of balance, awareness, and harmony with nature. Calm and watchful, he notices subtle environmental and operational shifts and stands ready to respond, reflecting how EVE monitors water reservoirs, solar batteries, and village tasks to catch anomalies before disruptions happen. The companion never interrupts, lectures, or acts uninvited; practical guidance leads, and silence is always respected.

Question 4

What are the four core components of the EVE platform?

Accepted Answer

1) Community Hub: Daily resident portal for communal meals, task coordination, and village agreements. 2) EVE Admin: Operational layer for project management, document archiving, and member registries. 3) Nexus Intelligence: Sensor telemetry (water, solar, microclimate) and privacy-bounded assistance. 4) Ecove Matcher: Values-based matching connecting people with aligned eco-villages.

Question 5

How does EVE protect community privacy and data sovereignty?

Accepted Answer

EVE enforces strict data boundaries: resident assistance only accesses documentation that the community explicitly designates for sharing, never monitoring private conversations. Data belongs 100% to the community with full JSON export at any time. There is zero behavioral ad profiling and zero commercial data selling.

Question 6

What is Ecove Matcher and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Ecove Matcher (https://matcher.ecove.app) uses an Ecosystem DNA framework evaluating 17 dimensions (governance model, spiritual orientation, dietary habits, work share expectations, ecological commitments) to help seekers find compatible communities and enable communities to discover aligned members.

Question 7

What are the adoption pathways and pricing for EVE?

Accepted Answer

EVE offers four pathways: 1) Cloud Seed (managed European cloud hosting from €15/month), 2) Hybrid Bridge (on-site sensor hardware + encrypted cloud sync), 3) Sovereign Root (100% Free Software hosted locally with zero fees), and 4) Commons Grants (subsidized setups for indigenous and ecological research sanctuaries).

Question 8

Can our community self-host EVE on our own hardware?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Sovereign Root pathway is designed specifically for autonomous self-hosting on a local server or mini-PC within your village. It runs 100% offline with zero cloud dependency and zero software licensing costs.
